RANSON, W.Va. — Police say a 5 year-old girl who was critically injured in a crash has died.
Ranson Police responded to the interchange of W.Va. Route 9 and Flowing Springs Road at 8:30 Saturday night for a vehicle accident.
Officers learned on scene that the vehicle carrying the five year-old, her mother and a 16 year-old driver was entering Route 9 westbound when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The child was taken to an area hospital where she died from her injuries Monday.
The investigation continues.
