MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation is accepting grant applications through March 14th, and these competitive grants programs will award more than $125,000 to area schools and nonprofit organizations.
The EWVCF is a grant making organization that works with donors to create endowed funds to support their favorite charity.
Michael Whalton, the Executive Director of the organization, says education and youth program grants are among the most popular, though it varies each year.
New scholarships are sometimes added as well – their latest addition is the Dr. T.K. Oats Memorial Scholarship, which is a $5,000 scholarship to go towards a nursing program of a student’s choice.
Whalton says interested individuals or organizations should check their website for an FAQ, as well as an overview of most of the grants and scholarships that they provide.
