KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. — An escapee from the Pruntytown Correctional Center in Taylor County was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in Jefferson County, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
26-year-old Tyler Wynkoop of Harper’s Ferry, who escaped March 13, was found at a residence in Kearneysville by the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force.
His accomplice, 25-year-old Brittany Hudnall, was with him at 106 Tally Ho Drive in Fox Glen Trailer Park and charged with Felony Accessory After the Fact.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshal Service, investigators believe Wynkoop had been back in his home area since April 3 but was able to avoid capture with the assistance of friends and associates.
