Jefferson County authorities seeking tips after cow shot, killed

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — Deputies in Jefferson County have opened an investigation after a cow was found shot to death by a bow and arrow.

The discovery was made on Oakwood Farm Monday morning. On scene, deputies found a black and white Holstein dairy cow dead in a pasture near the intersection of Mount Hammond Lane and Kabletown Road.

The owners of the cow are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.
