Two charged with drug possession after Berkeley Springs raid

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Two Berkeley Springs men are behind bars after police found heroin and paraphernalia in a home.

On Tuesday, Morgan County Sheriff KC Bohrer, West Virginia State Police and Berkeley Springs Police went to 384 Wilkes Street where they located packets of suspected heroin “in plain view”.

Jonathan Cain, 37, was taken into custody. Cain has been charged with parole violation, possession with intent to deliver. Several hundred dollars of US currency were also located.

Sam Barnes, 43 was also arrested on a possession with intent to deliver illegal drugs charge.

Eastern Regional Jail records show both remain incarcerated.

The drugs were seized from the home.
