Snowy Weekend on the Horizon for Eastern Panhandle

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Heading into the end of this week, low temperatures are set to result in some snowy weather.

Accuweather is calling for low temperatures into the teens Friday evening that will lead to snow that could total to 1 to 3 inches by Saturday.

On Panhandle Live this morning, Accuweather’s Brian Thompson said the possible storm wouldn’t be major but you may want to prepare ahead of time.

“It’s one of those things where if you have plans this weekend, you definitely want to an eye on it,” said Thompson. “At this point, it looks unlikely that it will be a major snowfall but we are still a couple days out.”

The storm system could last into this Sunday before temperatures warm up next week.
