BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — A Maryland woman has been identified as the victim of a crash in Morgan County.
Deputies responded to Winchester Grade Road about one mile south of its intersection with U.S. Route 522 at around 10:26 Friday morning. An investigation has revealed Frances Brashears, 66 of Knoxville, Maryland, crossed the center line, went off of the roadway and struck a tree.
Brashears was taken to Winchester Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
