Martinsburg graduates seniors

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — It didn’t look promising, but the weather held off Tuesday night as hundreds gathered to wish the graduating seniors at Martinsburg High School the very best.

Members of the Berkeley County Board of Education joined with faculty and staff for the school’s 139th commencement yesterday evening.

In all 297 seniors received their diplomas during the ceremony at Coburn Field.

Principal Trent Sherman congratulated the class of 2017 and encouraged them to serve their communities in whatever they do in life.

He assured them that life goes by quickly and they need to take the time to enjoy the journey rather than look to the milestones.
