Man Arrested on Drug Charges after Traffic Stop in Martinsburg Wednesday  

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A traffic stop in Martinsburg resulted in drug charges for two men and the seizure of suspected drugs from both the vehicle and a Kentucky Avenue home.

The Martinsburg police department says members of its CIRT Team conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Malibu Wednesday.

A K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle, a Chevy Malibu operated by Jahkhiemi Korii Wheeler.

Officers searched the vehicle and seized approximately 26 grams of suspected Fentanyl, a scale and a firearm.

Police conducted a search warrant at a home located at 310 South Kentucky Avenue Martinsburg and say they found four grams of suspected fentanyl and 20 grams of marijuana.

Wheeler has been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm and Driving on a Revoked License.

Another person, Joseph L. Jennings was charged with Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana and Fentanyl.

Both suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
