HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — Hedgesville High School held their 116th commencement yesterday evening.

Around 270 seniors received their diplomas during the ceremony at the high school gym located on the Hedgesville campus.

Principal Ron Lyons congratulated the class of 2017 and gave them high marks.

“It’s a tremendous class, full of great kids,” Lyons said. “They truly are a very special, nice group of young men and women. They are going to go very far.”

The ceremony began with the presentation of the colors by the school’s Junior Air Force ROTC unit.

Principal Lyons’ speech was on “keeping your youth”.
