MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Maryland Transit Administration is extending free transit to federal workers.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced the free service Thursday, one day before President Trump said he would reopen the government.

Federal workers will be able ride the MARC, MTA buses, light rail and Metro for free through Friday, February 1.

To receive free rides, workers just need to show their government I-D.
