Deputies: 14 year-old injured in Martinsburg drive-by shooting, suspect at large

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A 14 year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting and the suspect remains on the loose.

Berkeley County deputies responded to the 100 block of Plaza Court in Martinsburg for a reported shooting at 10:59 Tuesday night. Once on scene, they learned two homes were struck by gunfire. The 14 year-old sustained a single gunshot wound in the incident.

The boy was taken to Berkeley Medical Center where he has was treated and released.

Multiple interviews have been conducted and evidence has been recovered in relation to the shooting. Witnesses told deputies the shooter may have been in a gray Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis.
