Clean Up Scheduled for Friday and Saturday along Warm Springs Run in Morgan County

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — The Town of Bath is inviting volunteers to help out Friday and Saturday as the Warm Springs Watershed Association and Friends of the North Berkeley Rail Trail host a clean-up of the stream and banks of Warm Springs Run between North Berkeley Park and Jimstown Road.
On Friday, April 12, volunteers will meet at 9:00 at the parking lot behind 247 Harrison Avenue and proceed north.
On Saturday April 13, they will meet at 9:00 in a parking lot on the east side of Jimstown Road, just past the intersection with US Route 522 and proceed south.
WVDEP provides bags, grabbers and gloves.
The announcement from the town of bath reminds volunteers who want to work in the stream to wear waders or waterproof footwear.
Those who do not wish to enter the stream should wear sturdy footwear. Many people find it helpful to bring a rake to use to pull trash out of hard-to- reach places.
