HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — A motorcyclist is dead after a Saturday night crash on Hedgesville Road.
West Virginia State Police report 53-year-old Charles Moses of Martinsburg was traveling east on Hedgesville Road on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he attempted to pass a Dodge Journey on a double yellow line.
Police say Moses struck a Mazda head on, then also struck the first vehicle.
Troopers responded just before 9:30 at night and found Moses lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mazda, 71-year-old Douglas Michael and his passenger, 69-year-old Kathy Michael of Berkeley Springs were transported to Berkeley Medical Center for medical treatment.
The driver of the Dodge Journey sustained no injuries.
The incident happened in the 8000 block of Hedgesville Road.
