West Virginia State Police: Winchester Man Injured in Giles Mill Crash

 

INWOOD, W.Va. — A Winchester, Virginia man was critically injured yesterday after being ejected during a crash in Berkeley County.

West Virginia State Police tell the Panhandle News Network it happened Wednesday October 6, 2021. Troopers were dispatched just before 10:30 in the morning to a two-vehicle traffic accident with ejection on Giles Mill Road in South Berkeley County.

51-year-old Shane Mcbrearty of Winchester, VA was operating a black 1991 Jeep Wrangler west on Giles Mill Road when he reportedly lost control around a curve and crossed the center line. At that time, Mcbrearty was struck broadside by a white, 2015 Ford F150, traveling east on Giles Mill Road.

The driver of the truck was not injured, but McBrearty was ejected from his vehicle and transported to Winchester Medical Center where he was last listed in critical condition.
