Webb: Salvation Army Entering its Busy Season

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — ‘Tis the season for some familiar sounds – like the ringing of the bells during the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Drive.

Martinsburg Salvation Army Captain Joshua Webb says red kettles will be out at Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby in Martinsburg beginning on Black Friday.

Angel Tree tags will be available at Wal-Mart, for needy children in the community. “Listed on there is the children’s clothes sizes, their wishes for Christmas. You can buy those things for those kids and put them right back in the bin that’ll be right next to that tree and we’ll see that those children get those items for Christmas.”

Tags are due back December 6th.

The Red Kettle Drive presents a big opportunity to serve, as Captain Webb says it’s getting harder and harder to find help.

“It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, so it’s important that people who can, give if they can.”
