Two Month Project: Alternating Lane Closures on Northbound and Southbound I-81 in Berkeley County to Begin Sunday

BURLINGTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced a roadwork project in Berkeley County that is set to last for two month.

A press release from the DOH reveals there will be alternating lane closures on the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 81, from mile marker 2 to mile marker 7, in Berkeley County from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, April 2, 2023, to allow for paving operations.

Work will be performed Sunday nights through Friday mornings each week.

This project is expected to be completed in two months.

Motorists are advised to stay alert and travel with caution through the work zone. Exact schedule is weather dependent.
