TUESDAY TRAFFIC ALERT — HAGERSTOWN

HAGERSTOWN, MD — TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Five Corners
The City of Hagerstown has announced a traffic advisory for Tuesday.

“Weather permitting, on Tuesday, January 24th, work crews from the City’s Department of Public Works will be replacing the traffic signal controller cabinet at the intersection of E. Baltimore Street, Frederick Street, and South Mulberry Street (“Five Corners”). In order the complete the work, the traffic signal must temporarily be taken out of service, and the following street closures will be implemented:
S. Mulberry St.: closed between Antietam St. and Baltimore St., and closed between Lee Street and Baltimore Street.
E. Baltimore St.: closed between King St. and Frederick St.
Eastbound traffic on E. Baltimore Street will be able turn onto Frederick Street, and traffic on Frederick Street can turn onto westbound E. Baltimore St.; all other turns at the intersection will be prohibited. The work is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, and is expected to be completed by 2:00 PM.
Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the intersection, but will not be able to pass through the segments of streets that are closed.
