WASHINGTON, DC — Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle members made a trip to DC Sunday to watch staff member “Miss Vicky” as she was inducted into the Washington Mystics Hall of Fame.
That’s Martinsburg native the Vicky Bullett, who lends her talents to the club after a storied career as a standout high school, collegiate, and Olympic athlete.
On Sunday, the Washington Mystics posted a video highlight reel of Bullett as part of her induction.
[CLIP]The celebration is part of the team’s 25th anniversary season, marking the 25th anniversary of the Mystics’ first home game June 19, 1998.
The team inducted its first Hall of Fame class with franchise legends Vicky Bullett, Chamique Holdsclaw and Murriel Page in a halftime ceremony.
Those attending Sunday’s game caught highlights from the hall of fame members’ careers and the first 2,500 fans got a retro Mystics view finder featuring top moments in franchise history including the inaugural game, key players, and the 2019 Championship run.
Bullett is one of the most decorated players in the history of the women’s basketball program at the University of Maryland,
She played for the Charlotte Sting and Washington Mystics in the WNBA, as well as for European and South American professional teams, the U.S. Olympic team, and the University of Maryland Terrapins. Bullett played at various times as a center, small forward, and power forward. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
