Suspects Identified After BBs Shot into School Buses in Berkeley County

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Berkeley County Sheriff Nathan Harmon says his department knows who the two males are who were shooting BB guns at a school bus and other vehicles last week.

The call came in just after 3 in the afternoon on March 18th.

Deputies were called to the 5800 block of Williamsport Pike where they report seeing two
males hiding behind a utility pole and pointing rifles at passing
vehicles.

While responding to that location Dispatch received a second call in
reference to these same two males.

This time, they were told that the window of a school bus had been damaged.

No one on board the bus was injured and the children were transferred to another bus away from the location of the shooting.

Harmon says a cooperative investigation between his department and Berkeley County Schools resulted in the two suspects being identified.

Their identities have not been released. Harmon says the two “rifle-style BB guns ” believed to have been used in the incident have been recovered.
