FRONT ROYAL, VA — Armed with signs with messages like “Coercion is not Consent” and “My Body My Choice,” dozens of protestors lined a sidewalk near Warren Memorial Hospital yesterday evening.
The Valley Health Workers Association is a group aimed at allowing employees to choose whether they want to take the COVID vaccine or not. Its public Facebook group has more than a thousand members.
Valley Health recently announced COVID 19 vaccinations will be mandatory for employees beginning November 1st unless an employee has a medical or religious exemption. Employees not in compliance could lose their jobs.
The group is planning another picket today (August 2nd) from noon to three at the Winchester Medical Center on Amherst Street in Winchester, Virginia.
Valley Health’s official page lists 5,300 employees. Their medical facilities, which include two hospitals and various medical offices, serve patients in Virginia, West Virginia, and surrounding areas.
