One of Two Suspects In Downtown Martinsburg Break In Turns Himself In –

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two suspects were seen on video surveillance breaking into a downtown Martinsburg business June 15th.

Now, Martinsburg Police Chief George Swartwood says one of them has turned himself in.

In a press release Thursday, Swartwood said Floyd Sears III turned himself in to MPD on June 30th without incident and was later arraigned by a state Magistrate on Breaking and Entering and Conspiracy charges.

Swartwood credits Patrolman Nashon Cook for conducting an “extensive investigation” in order to identify the suspects accused of smashing through the front glass door of the Queen Street Gallery at 213 N. Queen Street Martinsburg WV.
The second suspect remains at large.
A portion of the surveillance video may be seen at the Martinsburg Police Department’s Facebook page.
