BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Morgan County Sheriff KC Bohrer says a Virginia man was found unresponsive at the Roman Baths in Berkeley Springs State Park Monday evening just before 5:30.
The 71-year-old was pronounced dead at War Memorial Hospital.
The man’s body will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
His name has not been released. Sheriff Bohrer says his department is attempting to notify next of kin.
The sheriff says there is no risk to the public.
Staff went to check on the patron after he had gone over his time period in the baths.
The case remains under investigation.
