Martinsburg Police Tout Two Big Arrests

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The Martinsburg Police Department was particularly busy Friday as they conducted two significant arrests.

The first one was early Friday when Patrol Officers Boursiquot and Conner responded to a disturbance call at the Red Roof Inn and realized it was a domestic.

Further investigation led the officers to locate marijuana and suspected crack cocaine in the room as well as a firearm.

One male was placed under arrest on domestic assault and 2nd degree domestic battery and now faces additional charges related to firearms and drug possession.

Later that day, Patrolwoman Conner pulled a vehicle with expired tags over on West King Street and reports the passenger was ‘nodding out.’ K-9 officer Atlas and his handler Patrolman Fritz were called in. As a result, fentanyl, oxycodone, and suboxone were seized as well as more than $3,500.00 in currency.

The press release from the MPD reports two people were placed under arrest and have been charged with the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
