MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Martinsburg/Berkeley County Parks and Recreation Director Joe Burton says despite the rain in the Panhandle this week, there’s still opportunities for area kids to stay active as part of their Spring Break lineup:
Burton says soccer participation is growing in the Eastern Panhandle and so their programming is increasing for both indoor and outdoor soccer:
He says even pre-school age kids can get involved in the sport:
The Parks chief spoke about some recent public surveys for senior citizens as well as those who want to weigh in on plans for a Spring Mills Community Park:
He also weighed in about plans for a skate park in Martinsburg.
