BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Morgan County deputies are investigating a homicide after an elderly man was found dead in his home.
Morgan County Sheriff KC Bohrer said they were called to a home on Clear Spring Lane, south of Berkeley Springs, at around 2:20 p.m. Friday regarding a suspicious death.
A 75 year old man was discovered in the home. Deputies believe his death was due to blunt force trauma.
Multiple units, including the State Police Crime Scene Team, remained on scene through early Saturday morning.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The man’s body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
