Main Street Martinsburg to host membership drive

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Main Street Martinsburg wants more people to know about down town Martinsburg.

The organization plans to host a membership drive Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at the Caperton Train Station.

Executive Director of Main Street Martinsburg Randy Lewis said anyone can be a Main Street member, not only business owners.

“People think you have to be a business down town, you don’t,” Lewis said during Panhandle Live Wednesday.

He said they just want more people to come and be a part of what they do.

“That is part of our lively hood,” Lewis said. “It’s a great way to come and network.”

Lewis said membership also helps with volunteer recruitment, which is vital to their organization.

There will be beer and wine plus appetizers from Main Street member restaurants.

The For the Kids, by George Children’s Museum will be open as well.
