Homicide in Hagerstown was part of a double shooting; Victims Knew Suspect

HAGERSTOWN, MD — Police in Hagerstown are investigating after a double shooting in the city Sunday that claimed one person’s life and injured another.

Hagerstown Police Sgt. Ben Lyncha tells The Panhandle News Network officers responded just after 3 p.m. to 1028 Brinker Drive for a reported shooting.

Police determined one of the victims, whose name is not being released pending notification of next of kin, had “died from a gunshot wound.”

A second victim who police say was struck “multiple times” survived.

Lyncha says investigators believe the victims knew the suspect.
