High Water Closes Henshaw Road, Causes Minor Flooding after Weekend Rain

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The National Weather Service monitors at Shepherd field reported more than an inch of rain fell overnight from Saturday into Sunday.

As a result of the rain area roadways that are prone to flooding had pooling water.

Henshaw Road near the underpass was closed Sunday afternoon due to the roadway flooding, according to Alert Berkeley.

A flood warning continues for the Potomac River, Opequon Creek and the Cacapon River – those are set to last through 7:oo this evening, although there could be an update before 2:00 this afternoon.
