Hagerstown Woman Found Dead, Police Searching for Information

HAGERSTOWN, MD — A Hagerstown woman has been found dead and now Hagerstown police are looking for the public’s help.

The Hagerstown Police Department issued a media release yesterday that said after 9-11 hangup October 1st, police were dispatched to Funkhouser Park at 570 Jefferson Boulevard just before midnight.

Upon arrival officers located a female deceased in the park, close to Jefferson Blvd. She was identified as Amy Lynn Heath, a 37 year old female from Hagerstown Maryland.

Through investigation, detectives learned that Heath was possibly in the company of a black male wearing unknown dark clothing. The black male is described as approximately 5’6”, 150 pounds and was pushing a hotel luggage cart in the area of Jefferson Blvd. & Cleveland Ave.

At the time of her death, Heath was wearing white shoes, white jeans and a black shirt.

Ms. Heath’s photo is on the department’s Facebook page in the hopes someone from the public can tell police if they saw her during that time frame.

Heath’s body was sent to the office of the Medical Examiner. At this time, her death is considered suspicious and this is an active investigation.
