Hagerstown City Police Investigating Thursday Shooting on Locust Street that injured Two

HAGERSTOWN, MD — Police in Hagerstown are investigating a shooting Thursday that injured two on Locust Street.

Hagerstown Police Lt. Chad Woodring tells The Panhandle News Network the call came in
Thursday around 11:30 at night to the 100 block of N. Locust St., Hagerstown, MD, for a
report of a shooting.
“Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a shooting had just occurred. A short time
later, officers were alerted that two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds had
arrived at the Meritus Medical Center by private vehicle.”

Woodring says both individuals, who were only identified as Hagerstown residents, were treated
at the hospital for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Other than the two individuals, nothing else appeared to have been struck by the
gunfire.

Police believe it was a targeted incident.
