BURLINGTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced the latest traffic detours in the Panhandle .
–There will be lane closures on Northbound Interstate 81, at Inwood Exit 5, in Berkeley County, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Wednesday, May 4, 2022, through Wednesday, May 18, 2022, to allow for the demolition of the WV 51 bridge over I-81. Traffic will be directed off the Interstate via the northbound exit ramp and back onto the Interstate via the northbound on ramp.
–The 340 North/51 West off ramp on WV 9 East, at mile marker 66.2, in Jefferson County, will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, and Thursday May 5, 2022, to allow for pavement repairs. Motorists are advised to stay alert and travel with caution through the work zone. Exact schedule is weather dependent.
