CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — Dale Manuel, a former longtime member of the West Virginia House of Delegates and the Jefferson County Commission, has died.
Manuel died Monday at Jefferson Medical Center. He was 74.
Manuel, who taught school at Wright Denny Elementary in Charles Town for 32 years, was a member of the House of Delegates from 1988 to 2004. He left the House to run for Jefferson County Commission where he served for 12 years.
Visitation services are set for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry. His funeral is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Manuel is survived by his wife, two daughters and five grandchildren.
