CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state DHHR has confirmed the Eastern Panhandle’s second coronavirus-related death.
“With sadness, we report another life lost to this disease,” DHHR Secretary Bill Crouch said.
It’s the first COVID-19 death reported in Jefferson County.
The Eastern Panhandle’s first death was reported by local and state health officials on April 15 in Berkeley County.
