MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The City of Martinsburg is reminding residents and businesses bagged leaves may be placed curbside for pickup with regular garbage collection.
Leaves should not be placed in the right of way or raked or blown into streets or sidewalks.
“Leaves may cause the storm drains to be clogged as well as create a safety issue for pedestrians and motorists,” the notice from the city says. “There are no specific bags required for this collection and there is no extra charge.”
