Sherman has previously served as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and junior varsity head coach.

Martinsburg currently owns the nation’s second-longest winning streak at 56 games and the Bulldogs have won four consecutive Class AAA state championships.

Sherman replaces Dave Walker, who resigned to become the head coach at Concord University in December. Walker led the Bulldogs to eight state titles in a span of ten years and he won 53 career playoff games.
