BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — A Berkeley Springs man has been arrested for attempting to have sexual contact with a child.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department tells the Panhandle News Network 37-year-old Richard Lee Early of Berkeley Springs has been charged with sexual abuse by parent, custodian or person of trust.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded Wednesday to a complaint that the suspect had attempted to have sexual contact with a child.
Early is a registered sex offender. He is now incarcerated in the Eastern Regional Jail.
