Berkeley BOE Sets Levy Rate for Vote in November

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Monday night’s Berkeley County Board of Education meeting featured debate on topics ranging from textbook review  to a proposed “Minute of Silence,” to the upcoming bond referendum. President Patrick Murphy outlined that bond:

The textbook review has been tabled to the next meeting. Board Member, Melissa Power advocated for the motion on a “Minute of Silence:”

That motion was voted down.

The $124.938,350 dollar bond issue was passed unanimously and will be put before voters in November.   A textbook review was tabled to the next meeting.
