Apple Harvest Festival Road Closures Announced

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The city of Martinsburg has released a road closure announcement ahead of this weekend’s Apple Harvest Festival.

According to the announcement shared with the Panhandle News Network Wednesday:

On Saturday October 21, 2023 the Annual Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival will begin. As it has been in the past, one of the responsibilities of the Martinsburg Police Department is to ensure the race and parade routes are free of vehicular traffic and parked vehicles.

This  is a FRIENDLY REMINDER to inform you that on Saturday, October 21, 2023, beginning at 8:00 A.M. and until the conclusion of the parade, our officers will be enforcing parking restrictions along the parade route.

NO PARKING will be permitted along the parade route from 8:00 A.M. until the conclusion of the parade. Any vehicle left on the parade route will be towed!

Areas, which are also restricted from parking, are:100-through 400 blocks of West Martin Street100 blocks of East and West Burke Street100 blocks of East and West King Street500 through 1300 blocks of West King Street100 Block North Queen Street / 100 through 600 blocks of South Queen Street100 Blocks on North and South Raleigh Street.

The parade route is as follows:1300 Block West King Street eastbound to Raleigh Street.Raleigh Street northbound to Martin Street.Martin Street eastbound to Queen Street.Queen Street southbound to Martinsburg High School.The parade will disband in the vicinity of Martinsburg High School.
