BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Residents and motorists in the Town of Bath should know that snow removal operations will affect travel on Thursday.
The West Virginia Division of Highways will be removing snow from the parking spaces and roadside areas along Washington Street (RT 522) between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM according to an announcement from the Town of Bath.
Motorists are advised to use extra caution when traveling through the town (also known as Berkeley Springs) and be mindful of the workers and equipment operating in the area.
“Where possible, we ask residents and business owners to avoid parking on Main Street, especially as crews approach your block. We understand that parking on the side streets is limited due to the recent snowfall, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work to clear the snowbanks that have built up,” the post from of the Town of Bath says.
A winter storm dropped several inches of snow and then sleet over about an 18-hour period beginning early Sunday. Temperatures have dipped into the single digits and have struggled to get into the mid 20s during daytime hours, which has made snow removal more complicated.
