HAGERSTOWN, MD — Two teenagers now face charges in a double shooting in Hagerstown Wednesday, December 17th.

Lt. Rebecca Fetchu of the Hagerstown Police Department tells The Panhandle News Network officers responded just before 4 p.m. to the 800 block of West Washington Street in reference to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Meritus Medical Center for medical treatment. One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the second victim sustained more serious injuries and was later transported to another hospital. Both individuals are still receiving medical attention.

As a result of the investigation, two suspects were identified and arrested in connection with this incident.

The first suspect, Alex Sutton, a 17-year-old male from Hagerstown, is being charged as an adult with the following offenses:

· Two counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder

· Two counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder

· Additional charges include assault, reckless endangerment, and multiple handgun-related offenses

The second suspect, Kahlil Thomas, a 19-year-old male from Hagerstown, is being charged with numerous handgun-related offenses.

This incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
