MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Christmas is back in a big way in downtown Martinsburg, beginning Saturday

Main Street Martinsburg Executive Director Robbie Blair gave the schedule for Saturday.

“The Christmas on Main festival is 11:00 to 6:00 p.m.  We will end the night with our tree lighting at 5:00 p.m.

“We tell everybody get there at 5:00. There’s a few things that happen leading up to it. We reserve that whole last hour so that people can get their picture with Santa Claus.”

Robbie Blair said the fun will spill over all around town.  “We have a train that’s going to be riding kids around town. Thanks to Elizabeth (Bradley, of E and B Insurance, who was a guest on Friday’s Panhandle Live with Blair.) we have a petting zoo on the square, which will be great for all the kids. We have our bouncy houses, different vendors and stuff like that.”

“But it’s not just what we’ve put together,” at Main Street, said Blair, “The Apollo is doing a really, really cool light show. You know, pop into the Apollo, get some hot cocoa, warm up a little bit, and then if you want to walk a little bit further over to the Roundhouse, they have their Merry Makers Market.”

Christmas on Main is set for Saturday from 11 to 6 with the tree lighting at 5 p.m.

This weekend’s events will be a warm up for Tuesday’s Martinsburg Christmas Parade which steps off Tuesday.

The 2025 Martinsburg Christmas Parade is Tuesday   December 9th at 6:30 p.m.
