INWOOD, W.Va. — The teenager missing out of South Berkeley County has been reunited with his parents.

West Virginia State Trooper Z.D. Haught with the Martinsburg detachment tells The Panhandle News Network he returned 16-year-old Hector Padilla, Jr. to his family this morning.  He was reportedly in good condition.

The young man had gotten quite a distance away from home and had wandered into a homeless shelter. He was not in Berkeley County from where he had been reported missing Tuesday, but state police did not disclose where he was located.

The West Virginia State Police said the teenager was at risk because of conditions including autism.
