SHANNONDALE, W.Va. — Crews in Jefferson County have been on the scene of a major structure fire in Shannondale off Sawyer Drive this (Tuesday) morning.
A supervisor for Jefferson County Emergency Dispatch said one individual injured in the blaze had to be flown out for treatment. He said there were other probable injuries but could not elaborate on the severity, if any.

Scanner page Eastern Panhandle Working Fires revealed that at the time of the call out just after 9 a.m., 11 fire crews and medical teams were responding from in the county and neighboring jurisdictions.
At one point, every EMS crew in Jefferson County was tied up attending to the fire.
Fire was showing on all four sides of the structure according to the scanner page.
No word on the cause of the blaze which occurred in the 200 block of Sawyer Drive. First responders at the fire told the Panhandle News Network they would likely be processing the scene ‘for hours.’
Dispatch reported crews from Jefferson, Loudoun, and Clarke Counties responded to the fire. Washington and Frederick County Maryland crews provided mutual aid while local crews battled the blaze.
