BURLINGTON, WV – The West Virginia Division of Highways is advising motorists of ongoing work this week in the Eastern Panhandle:
–The right lanes will be closed on US 340 northbound and southbound, from the mile marker 9 to mile marker 10, in Jefferson County, beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, to allow for pavement repairs. Traffic will be under the direction of flaggers.
– The right lane will be closed on northbound Interstate 81, between mile marker 1 and mile marker 4, in Berkeley County, from 7 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, through 3 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, to allow for asphalt repairs. The rest area ramps will remain open.
–There will be alternating lane closures on WV 9 eastbound, near the Loudon County line, in Jefferson County, beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, to allow for pavement repairs. Traffic will be under the direction of flaggers.
–There will be alternating lane closures on US 340, from the Loudon County line to the Shenandoah River Bridge, in Jefferson County, beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, to allow for pavement repairs. Traffic will be under the direction of flaggers.
Motorists should allow extra time while traveling in these areas and travel with caution through work zones. Exact schedule is weather dependent.
