BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — They know how to stay cool in more ways than one in Berkeley Springs this summer.

Friday marks the 4th Chilled Cocoa Crawl in Downtown Berkeley Springs. The event happens from 5 to 9 p.m.

Downtown business owner Happy Rone says the town had a great response to cocoa crawls they’d held during the holiday season, so they thought “it would be awfully fun to try a Cocoa Crawl in the Summer.”

The event promises “The same variety of flavors of Cocoa, the same amazing small town businesses – just chilled.”

Happy Rone says businesses downtown embrace the idea:

Visitors are invited to follow the Cocoa Crawl map to visit shops around Berkeley Springs, each with a different treat or flavor in their cocoa. This year some of the flavors may include Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, and Hazelnut.

Pick up a map (available online in the event and around town at participating Crawl Stops the week of the crawl) and follow the crawl all over town and start anywhere.

The event is free of charge.
