HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputies this week arrested a man wanted in an armed robbery out of Morgan County.

BCSD Chief Deputy of Staff Eric D. Burnett tells The Panhandle News Network a man and woman had been robbed of $1,900 and a cell phone after the suspect, identified as Daniel Speilman, 19, of Hedgesville allegedly brandished a firearm.

Just before 9 a.m. Monday, Berkeley County Sheriff deputies responded to an area of Hedgesville Road where they found Speilman staying in a camper.

He was taken into custody without incident and was last reportedly lodged in the Eastern Regional Jail in lieu of a 100-thousand dollar cash-only bond.

Taking part in the investigation were Deputy Robinson, Deputy Milburn, Deputy Cardello and Corporal S.T. Dopson of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
