MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting two Sobriety Checkpoints this month.
The first is planned for May, Friday May 23rd between 8 p.m. Friday night through 2 a.m. the following Saturday morning.
The first location is Grade Road near Marlowe at the intersection with Forever Green Drive. “Alternate routes of travel have been designated as Nestle Quarry Road and Kitchen Orchard Road.”
A secondary location may be set up at West Virginia Route 9 in front of the Laurel Ridge Subdivision in the area between Cumbo Road and Harland Springs Road. “Alternate routes will be Cumbo Road and Harland Springs Road.”
The following day, Saturday the 24th day of May, a sobriety checkpoint will be set up from 8 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday.
The location is US RT 11N, in front of Marlowe Elementary School, between Broad Lane and Hope Lane.
The Alternate routes will be I81 and Nestle Quarry Road.
