INWOOD, W.Va. — A two-vehicle crash in south Berkeley County Monday injured three people Monday afternoon.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office tells The Panhandle News Network deputies were called out at 4:41p.m. to the intersection of Rt. 51 (Middleway Pike) and Webber Springs Drive for a crash involving two vehicles.
There they found a brown F-150 truck on its roof off the road on the north side of Middleway Pike and a blue Subaru Impreza off the road to the south of the road. The 50 year old woman who had been driving the Subaru had to be extricated and was transported to Winchester Medical Center for treatment.
The 59-year-old man who had been driving the truck and his passenger, a five year-old boy, were both transported to Berkeley Medical Center.
The sheriff’s office report indicates the Subaru had been exiting Webber Springs Drive to turn on to Middleway Pike and had not stopped at the intersection. The F150 had been traveling Eastbound and a collision ensued, according to the sheriff’s department.
Middleway Pike was shut down for a period of about two hours while the scene was documented.
Chief Deputy of Staff of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Eric Burnett says the crash is still under investigation and charges will be forthcoming.
