MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A man was reportedly stabbed to death during a domestic incident in Martinsburg Monday.
Martinsburg Police Deputy Chief of Police Matthew Zollinger tells The Panhandle News Network officers responded to a reported stabbing Monday evening just after 6 p.m. in the area of Tuskegee Drive in Martinsburg.
Upon arrival, they found a man, later identified as Ashland Clive Jarrett, 23 of Martinsburg suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was transported by emergency medical services to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
A woman, identified as Tayari Quade Rosario, 20, of Martinsburg, was also found to be suffering from minor injuries and was transported to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment but medically cleared.
She has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, domestic battery, and brandishing. She was transported to the Eastern Regional Jail.
Investigators believe the two had been involved in a “physical domestic altercation.”
No one else was injured in the incident, according to police.
